Click here to view The Record obituary article dated June 20, 2016,telling of Adelaide L. Pritchard's service as an Army nurse state side and on board the USS Comfort in the Philippines. She also served in Tokyo being stationed with the 76th and 172nd Hospital Units. I looked up Adelaide Garlinger, her maiden name, on the original list and she is not listed, but she had grown up in River Edge and had graduated from The Nursing School in Hackensack in 1942.

Adelaide was born in September 7, 1922, which means she would have graduated Hackensack in 1940.  I also looked up her last name Pritchard on the Original list. There were two names:
William Pritchard
and John Pritchard. As you read the obituary, it mentions Adelaide L. Garlinger married her grade school sweet heart and next door neighbor William H. Pritchard, III. According to the article, he was a decorated Veteran Navy Pilot who had just returned from the Pacific.
